Sonsor Family

How/when do sponsor families get assigned? When do you meet them? Does everyone get one? do some cadets get the same one?

Cadets who want to participate, fill out a form...it's like an online dating profile, sort of! They are matched up. Sometimes they click, other times not. The also meet families at the various chapels, instructors, etc. My first cadet had a great relationship for 3 years w/ his, then the sponsor moved. My second DS didn't apply for one, as he was close friends w/ a cadet who lived nearby, so his fam adopted him.
