My ROO is far away so I don't think he can do it. Do I just get cadre from the closest ROTC program to do it? And who do I contact and how?

Start with your ROO and ask him/her for a course of action. The ROO may end up sending a Gold Bar LT, or contacting your nearest battalion.

Don't disrespect the chain of command!

One of the recruiters from the local office is presenting the "big check" at my DD senior awards night. The recruiter also came to her high school to tell her the good news but she already knew from checking her portal.

Just recommend first checking that there is "room at the inn" for military scholarship presentations during your HS's awards night before wasting anyone's time. Now have heard of 2 schools this year that are saying - "No soup for you!" for recognizing military scholarships at these events. Inclusion - it's not for everyone:)

That's a shame...honestly, how can a school district in the United States of America, at an awards ceremony honoring seniors and their academic accomplishments regarding scholarships, not allow a ROTC/AFROTC/NROTC presentation is disgraceful.

Someone was sent to DS school. Was local, not sure who he was. There were 3 winners in DS high school class all chose 3 different schools VMI, Citadel and UNG. I don't know who arranged it.

I think the local recruiting office wanted to bring
