TWE by mail only?

QNS posted on portal today for my DS, no email.

I just wanted to update this for future candidates that might be in similar situation in the coming years.
My DS was QNS on April 10th.
He accepted his appointment to the USMMA shortly.
On May 1st he was sent an offer for a 4yr ROTC scholarship to any school that he has been accepted to, that had an ROTC program. Full tuition, books, and a nice monthly stipend to boot.
He didn’t apply for this scholarship, just came out of the blue.
So I just wanted you to know, even after you get the “no”, there is still hope for a nice option.
He is still going to USMMA but it’s nice to know he would have had a really nice option.

My portal update today! TWE... on to plan B... I plan to reapply next year... any recommendations on classes to take my freshman year? Good luck to all still waiting.
That is what my DS did! He also participated in ROTC ( another nomination source) and this year is proudly reporting to USMA on Rday. Go to your plan B school, and if you still have a burning passion in September then go for it. Wish you the best of luck next year in your next adventure- wherever it may take you:)

Did USMA offer the ROTC scholarship? We didn’t have our DS apply for ROTC scholarships and are wishing we had!

Sorry for the late response....No, USMA did not offer the scholarship. It came directly from ROTC, which he hadn’t applied to either.
Then about two weeks later he got a letter from the ROTC Commander at Cornell, which he had not applied to either...encouraging him to apply to Cornell and use his scholarship there.
Still a go for USMMA though.
