Do most Air Force parents subscribe to the WebGuy program? Given that there is monthly subscription fee, not sure if it's useful to join this program or not. Thanks.

I can't speak for other parents -- but I joined when I took my son for I- day and it has been great. To see all the Academy cadets going through everything from I- Day to recognition day has been great. I guess everyone has to decide if its right for them but I have really enjoyed it and feel it is worth it. My son is Class of 2022 and is has been great to get pics of him and others throughout the year.

I would recommend it for the doolie year. After that its really kind of frustrating. If you don't mind looking through literally hundreds of pictures for a glance then go for it. Just my opinion. They try very hard to capture every squadron in events AFTER doolie year but they don't. Its just not possible based on the numbers and the dynamics involved. Bless those guys and girls for the hard work they do put in taking so many pictures.

+1 @HuskyPilot - I figured that we received at least $36/month value in pictures the first year. I'm considering the remaining three years as an extended payment plan for son's lifetime AOG membership (with a few pictures thrown into the mix).

WebGuy is a MUST for Doolie year. I spent the majority of last summer on my laptop, stalking WebGuy. The pics you find of your cadet are priceless and are the only connection you have for the first six weeks!

I am so happy to hear feedback on this program. Definitely will consider it for Doolie year!

We joined, back in the day, when our twins were there. It was great for BCT and beyond. We would of course scan through the pics every night, looking for our boys. Those photos, printed out, are STILL up in my kitchen!!!

For us, over 1000 miles away, it was worth every single penny.

^^^^^^While subscribing to WebGuy is an individual decision, FMHS-79 pretty much summed it up and I totally agree.

Like FMHS-79 and parktrack said, it's critical to have for doolie year and I look at the rest as a contribution to a good organization.

Okay...parents...listen up...personal opinion here...

I'm not a parent...we were never so blessed. I've been an ALO for 24 years...these kids (your kids) become my kids...

And I have WebGuy.

It's fun to look for images of my appointees!! I love to see what they're doing, what they're experiencing...it brings back memories...and I enjoy seeing their amazement, determination, joy...all of it. And yes, I download pics.

And after recognition, I send those pictures to "my" appointees...so they have a record.

It's worth it, at least for BCT and doolie year. After that...your call.
