Hello everyone,
I am currently training for the physical rigors of VMI and have been following a USNA preparation plan that seemed helpful along with the Recon Ron pull up program. I checked past threads looking for an official VMI training plan; they used to have one but the link no longer works. Does anyone have one or could give tips that helped? Thank you!

Any of the online pull-up programs are a good move. If you can get to where you can crank out 10 pull-ups, 15 pull-ups, etc, it will only help. Just pick one and go as far with it as you can without injuring yourself. Also, start doing lots of push-ups, shoot for 200+ per day as an initial goal. Work your way up to it if you need to. Lastly, and most importantly, run a lot...especially hills. VMI, unlike USNA, is nothing but hills. Do both distance runs (3-5 miles) for endurance, and speed work (lots of hill sprints) to work on a good 1.5mi time. Interval training is also great. Go on a 3mi slow run, with periodic hills and max effort sprint all the hills, for example.

Alright I will start doing that. Thank you!
