Hi, I am a 4 year NROTC and AROTC scholarship selectee.

I was awarded my AROTC scholarship early January and was emailed my course of action for Dodmerb. After that, I did my medicals and am waiting to hear about qualifications. However, for the NROTC scholarship (my first choice) which I was awarded April 2nd, I have received no information for what I am supposed to do. I have not been assigned a dodmerb POC nor have I recieved any packets with instructions on what to do next. My coordinator said I should have received this weeks ago, and I understand that this is time-sensitive so I want to get it done as soon as possible. What do I do in this situation?

You only get one DoDMERB assignment, no matter how many ROTC programs or SA's you apply to.

The Army initiated DoDMERB first so it is primary. NROTC will try to open a file with DoDMERB and see that the Army already did so. All ROTC programs and SA share the same primary DoDMERB file. You are either Qualified or NQ with DoDMERB. If you are DQ, then each SA or ROTC program runs its own waiver process.

Bottom line, NROTC will have access to the first DoDMERB file.

Ok thank you, I thought that as well initially but when I brought it up to my Coordinator she said it was not possible. Thank you for the clarification.

The one assigned to me that guides me through the application process.

Do you mean the NROTC coordinator at the local recruiting office for the Navy? (not a DoDMERB coordinator or rep).

I'm not sure what you're referring to. I filled out the online application and was contacted by a coordinator who guided me through the interviewing process and my overall application.

Okay so you are speaking about the NROTC application coordinator. I wanted to make sure it was not someone from DoDMERB.

Did you look at the DodMERB-DMACS repository ... on the initial website you scheduled your exams there is a tab on the far right with a link to the repository website that you have to create a new account and it gives you an update and results

As I have come to learn from this process of also having to go to DODMERB for my NROTC scholarship- you are kind of on your own and have to do a lot of things yourself. For me, I had to create my DODMERB account to initiate any paper work or appointment (I did not get anything in the mail). I also then was emailed that DODMERB had recieved my results of the exams and then that they had cleared me and I was qualified. My best advice- keep a close eye on your email for anything from DODMERB.

Goodluck and best wishes!
