Kierkegaard is right
The clear intention of report times is to maintain a constant flow of Ps2Bs through the process. Most Ps2B will simply step into a line behind 30-50 other Ps2B when they arrive at their appointed time. I wouldn't plan on arriving 30mins late, but no body is there taking notes on who arrived 5-10mins late.
Not hugely important info, except to note that a Mom, or Dad, or Grand Pa, who wants spend every possible last moment with their P2B shouldn't lose that opportunity because Plebe thinks he/she needs to sprint ahead in fear of being 1o mins late. A P2B may get pulled from the line, and screened ahead of parents-n-family. Once through, Plebes are directed to proceed on toward Alumni Hall. If Mom, Dad, GP&GM , etc., have been left behind and P2B is not running seriously late-----there is no problem with stepping aside and waiting for family to clear security so you can walk across campus together.
Note: I am not part of the "Brain Trust" here. This advise reflects my experience and that of others who offered me this info to me 3 yrs ago. If I have it wrong someone please correct me.
NOTE NOTE NOTE: I am not suggesting that you amble up to your intake desk 45mins late ---- you just don't need to make GrandMa do a 5min mile across campus to avoid being 5 mins behind your time.
Sincerely:
David Hume
