Waitlisted Applicants 2023....

This has been a crazy ride for us. We have been first fully declined in January. We enrolled on our own, to prep school in Marion, Alabama. In April, offered sponsored scholar program to USCA's choice of prep school. May 31st, notified the prep school would be GMA in Georgia. Tuesday, June 4rth our son receives a call from USCA offering full appointment to the Class of 2023!!!! We never gave up hope of eventually getting there, but wow what a ride! Our son reports July 1st to Swab Summer!!! So never give up....apparently there are lots of last minute shifts.

It's 100% and the best advice we received was from the previous director of admissions at USCA. There are three ways to get into the service academies. One a straight admission and appointment. Second, sponsored prep school. Third, go to Marion Military Institute. The same day we were notified that our son was not receiving option one, or two we were in direct contact with Col. Bowen in charge of the Service Academy program at MMI. I believe the message this sends is a commitment to be at these academies through commitment and hard work. If these kids go on to second choices non military, was it really their dream? Just my opinion. Thank you for the well wishes and best of luck to you all.
