Has anyone heard that all the barracks are supposed to be renovated within the next couple of years?

It would not be Davis because it was just opened two years ago. However, I believe the Academy is on a renovation campaign to update the dorms and there is a schedule for the renovations. I do not know when they plan to complete the last one.

Do you know where I could find the schedule?

Interesting. My son said the barrack he was in (not sure name) in the basement at SLE last week was pretty bad compared to the videos he had seen online. I was surprised they didn't have screens. The heat was oppressive inside at night but they didn't open windows due to mosquitoes.

4 done, 5 to go with Pershing next, tentatively expected to be finished in 2022 (per this Nov 2018 article). Saw another article where Eisenhower was the 5th renovation on the schedule (so maybe Pershing is 6th?).

Actually, Pershing was finished last December and I believe 3rd Regiment already moved in. They are restoring Grant and almost done renovating Ike now. Most of 2nd Regiment will move into Ike this December.

Pershing has been completed. It is gorgeous.

They are barracks, it's the military! If your DS/DD was in the ME they would have been in a tent with the bare minimum if we were at war. Granted some locations in the ME or Europe have much better luxuries but not all of men get so lucky. I've been on mission trips down in South America where i've met tribes who literally live in the jungle & have nothing but a thatch roof & 4 wood poles as a home. So as Americans we are living the dream.
