All US Driver's License are ok for entry, USNA update

This might be helpful for people who are in states where they are in the process of bringing up their driver's license standards to the REAL ID ones that were issued. As of right now, USNA will accept all US driver's license for entry. I was in a panic because I live in Illinois, which is one of those states listed as being excluded in the security section of the USNA website. I just emailed someone in parking at the USNA and this was the response:

Good morning,

Yes ma’am, all US DL have been granted extensions. There should be no persons being denied access solely for this purpose.

A passport will also work. Also, go very early, like 0630, get in line and get the parent DOD ID. Never an issue getting on with that. On a side note, if you don't know military time you should brush up. By PPW that's all your kid will use.
