I haven’t heard from any source that we should go into indoctrination with anything but physical fitness. Should I learn about Naval history and chain of command before hand? I have a lot of free time so what should I get to know? Trying to be the best I can be for the 3 weeks of indoctrination.

I’ll be going to session one of indoctrination and I don’t think there is anything you need to study in order to be successful at NSI. Obviously a basic background of the Navy will help, but I think the basic information will be taught to us during the three weeks.

And not that I’m too worried, but I wonder where I’ll be staying July 1st?

You stay in the barracks on July 1st.

1 c/m gave me the advice that we should show up with knowledge on Navy AND Marine Corps rank structure and the general orders!
