A case of being in the right place at the right time is all...DS applied for usafa summer seminar, was working on some other stuff, and got the email.

This time next year, some of y'all will be taking the Oath. So exciting!

We just started breathing from relief, Daughter will complete the next 10mos at GMC before reapplying at AFA.
 
Hello, I have not received any emails and my portal says that I am at “Applicant” status and that my “Application is Competitive”. There is also no new notifications on the portal inbox. Is this normal?

DS's had a letter that said people would be promoted to Candidate by the end of July (and beginning July 1st). DS had applied for Summer Seminar, so he had his pre-candidate application done early (he also opted to have his Summer Seminar application used for his pre-candidate questionnaire). So I would not be concerned.

This is an exciting time!!! I can remember this time last year my DS getting the notification. He is heading to the prep school but will also be going through the process again for the c/o 2024! Good luck and work hard!
