I just got my score back on the first and only AP class I have been offered (World History) and I got a 4. I was wondering if AP scores were very important to the academy and also as a small side note if they accepted them for any credit.

AP scores not considered in admissions. Can be useful in placement and validation - you don't get a lighter load, just puts you in a more advanced version of a course or gives you an additional elective. I don't recall specifics for World History.

Don’t get hung up on AP scores. A 4 is fantastic and you should be proud! It shows you have the ability to study and retain information which will do you well wherever you end up going to school. AP exams are no joke! Good job on that! And unless you knock it out of the park and skip a class....you SHOULDNT skip it. You sure don’t want to be in a class beyond your abilities. Especially freshman year. A four is great!
