"Competitive" on an application

I've submitted my application and they've reviewed it saying its "Competitive" just wondering if that's good or not. My status is still an applicant, so is that basically saying I'll be a candidate? I also got a letter saying "Congratulations! Your application to the Air Force Academy indicates you have the potential for admission" and that they'll be sending me further instructions later. Just wondering if that also indicates that I'll be a candidate.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but thank you in advance.

I have the same status currently, and I'm under the impression that it means someone meets the minimum requirements for consideration.
 
If I am correct, last year when I was applying I had the same status and then it updated to candidate, which then gave me the rest of the application. I’m in the same boat as you guys right now, we should all be updated candidate status (I assume we will) by the end of this month, maybe sooner.
