Orthodontist Question

Hi all,

If I get my braces off completely before heading to DoDMERB, will I likely still get a remedial because I HAD braces?

I have done much looking for a thread of a similar topic, but have only found ones discussing having braces on while going to the exam.

My son still had braces when he had to answer DoDMERB questions. He was scheduled to have them removed a month later. We went ahead and had the orthodontist write a statement about my son’s treatment plan and saying that a retainer would only be necessary while sleeping.

I believe being proactive is definitely a must. Having HAD braces in the past is a non factor.
