[CFA]
I have been practicing for my CFA since SLE applications came out for USMA/CO2023. I am
not the most athletic before practicing for my CFA. Does anybody have sites or free programs that I can follow to get a good score on my CFA? Drop it all in the comments if you have any. I can almost max my pushups and sit-ups. I really need help on my pull-ups and mile run. I will also take tips on doing my CFA. I'm planning to do my CFA around mid or early February. I've been nominated to USMA and finished everything else except for my CFA.

I’d recommend a guy named Stew Smith. He’s got some really great tips online and even has a video talking about the CFA itself. One tip I have would be to practice the exercises together, especially the pull ups and push ups, since the arms will already feel sore going into the push ups.

Excellent advice ... my son did 15 pullups and 60 push-ups. He was disappointed in his push-ups - but his arms were tired as he didn’t practice them together. He thought adrenaline would help! ;)

If you are trying to get your pull ups numbers up, one thing I did that helped a lot was get a doorway pull-up bar and put it on my bedroom door. Each time I walked through I forced myself to do as many as I could three times.

I have one, and I really need to start forcing myself to do this.

You’re going for SA acceptance against one of the most competitive candidate fields around, and you need to “start forcing” yourself to prep for the CFA? And it’s January? Hmmm...

She’s a junior in high school. She has time yet.
I should have made that more clear. I am only a female junior.

Zunty is absolutely right. Here is a link to the .pdf version of the "Service Academy Workout" program created by Stew Smith (https://tinyurl.com/saworkoutprogram). It contains a 7-week workout program designed to help candidates improve their CFA scores.
Also, Stew Smith has a very simple pull-up improvement program called the "Pull-up Push Workout". Here is the link for that. (https://www.military.com/military-fitness/fitness-test-prep/pullup-push-workout)
In terms of the mile run, I would suggest running 2 miles every weekday (10 miles a week & 2-day break on weekend) for 2 weeks and then timing your mile and seeing if you improved after those 2 weeks. Repeat this process as needed.

Hope this helps!

There is a weight and height requirement for USAFA. Is there a similar requirement for USMA as well?

Yes. All the academies have a height and weight requirement. If you don't meet the requirements outright then they do a tape measure.

I see a chart on USAFA website, but unable to find a similar one for USMA. Can someone point me towards USMA one? I understand the requirements can be different for USAFA and USMA.

Thank you NWW005.. helps. Seems for my 64 inch DD, the height and wt are same for USAFA, USMA.
