I got a letter from Westpoint recently saying the following(included below). I am really confused as to what I didn't submit. My application isn't due for another couple of months. Can anyone help me out as to what this means? I already said I was applying to Westpoint(along with other SA's) in my congressional nomination applications that I've submitted.

"Dear ***********,

Regrettably, your admission file for a West Point cadetship is closed because of your failure to submit required information.
We hope you continue to pursue your goal of service in the Army, and investigate ROTC options. You should also consider the benefits available through Regular Army or Reserve Component enlistment.
Thank you for your interest in West Point, and good luck in all your future endeavors."

This issue came up last cycle also and the resolution most were advised was to contact RC. If i remember correctly, this happened due to some system issue and in most of the cases file was re-opened.

Hoping this is the case with your file too..

Good luck..

You got a letter from West Point (two words, both capitalized). It has what seems to be erroneous news. Your first and most important step should be to reach out directly to USMA admissions. Not post on this site, because no one here knows your individual circumstances and sent the letter. When in doubt with SA applications, go directly to the source.

I think the OP had a valid question and we shouldn't scare him/her away from asking questions. WP made *a lot* of clerical mistakes last year, and if the OP hadn't asked that question, s/he might not have known that. (Thanks @txfwindian ) There is reassurance in knowing that it might be a mistake.

The whole point of this forum is to build on the experiences of those who have gone before. It never hurts to research the issue ("do some homework") before contacting the RC.
