NROTC

Congrats to you. If you haven't done interviews with MOC's yet (assuming you might be a SA applicant), being a first board winner shows you are committed to service, and have navigated difficult applications, physicals and interviews to have that scholarship in hand. Good job, you.

Yes, my DS has applied to USMA, USAFA, USNA plus the ROTC scholarships. MOC interviews have been completed... now he’s waiting. ROTC is back up plan as his ultimate desire is to serve.

Yes! Congratulations 🎉🎈! Awesome news! I asked DS what his said & he said still the same as previous... I’m trying to be “cool” about by not having him check constantly - even though I wish he would 😉.......

Well ROTC is a different path to the same ending. Serving as an officer in one of our amazing branches of our military. For many, ROTC is a better fit at a civilian or military college than the academies. And they end up commissioned officers, just take different routes. It is such a long and stressful process, I wish you and he the best.

Congratulations to all selected. Would any of you mind sharing your general stats for selection (GPA, SAT, PT score). Are we to assume that if not already notified that we will be rolled to the next board?

As I recall, for Navy option, awards from each board seem to come out the same day. If you are not awarded a scholarship on a board, there will be no change on your portal and you will not receive any notification. You application will be considered again the next board. The first board tends to have very few scholarships awarded, so don't stress. There is still a long way to go.

Sometimes the system sends notifications in “batches,” so your notification may just be in the next ”batch.” If no response in next few days, assume it has rolled over. You will not hear a yes/no until there is a final determination.

He can certainly update the SAT if there is a test scheduled in time. Don't know about PT.
