I'm right there with you momofthemajik. I have never been so interested in the mailbox. My son received his nomination on 1/12 and still hasn't heard. Were most of the appointees notified by mail, their nominating source, the candidate site? What comes first?

Just from what I've observed on this site, about half of the appointees hear from their MOC first and the rest have gotten their blue folder first.

I know that the DoDMerb status changes at some point, but I don't know about the Candidate Info Page. I haven't heard of any USNA hopefuls that have found out from one of those sources first.

Does anyone know when the bulk of appointment offers generally go out?

We are waiting also Ladder. It's really hard to wait while we see others receiving their appointments. Hang in there a little longer. I believe we will here something from Navy by mid March. No changes to DoDMERB either. -officer

Ladder and Officer...we are also waiting....I can't bear to view this thread much longer!! Although I am HAPPY for those with appointments, I get nervous more and more each passing day....Congrats to all listed on this thread and Good luck to all waiting!!

Ditto, Harmi. Chris is the first one I've seen that has gotten word on DoDMerb first, all the more reason to keep checking there. Not that we weren't doing that twice a day already.

Ladder, I was wondering the same thing. I saw on the USAFA pages that they mail appointment paperwork out on Wednesdays each week. It made me wonder if the USNA has a similar type of "scheduled" mailing day or week or... I know, I know. "The board has until April 15 and most of the notifications go out in February and March." I know these things, but it doesn't make it much easier! Oh yeah, then there is the waitlist. BTW, will we be notified if my son is waitlisted. I would assume so, but I haven't heard how/when that is done.
