I did the interview about a year ago for the cadet USSF selection board and I'm fairly certain the process is identical. They give you the question and they you almost immediately answered the questions in a recorded video. Our board had 6 questions, but I'm sure they narrowed it down since the current consensus for the scholarship board is 5. The questions I got had to do with what I had done to prep for a career is the Space Force, integrity, diversity, changing the status quo, why I wanted to be in the Space Force, and what I wanted to do in the Space Force. Also, for anyone reading this about to go for the PSP Space Force Board (Sophomores/AS200s), just be prepped as the board is on a quality spread system (the top few from top third, top few from middle third, and top few from bottom third).
As far as SFROTC goes, it doesn't exist yet. You join Air Force ROTC with a SF-Scholarship. Depending on your Detatchment, you may get issued USSF nametapes, but that's about it. There is no specific curriculum from AFROTC HQ for Space Force-select Cadets (different than SF-scholarship cadets, will discuss later), and all SF-scholarship and SF-select cadets are required to meet all AFROTC training objectives (see AFROTCI 36-2011 vol 1). Some specific detachments (Purdue, Virginia Tech, Embry Riddle, MIT(?), ) have Space Force programs that offer additional training under a club or as a Squadron. I wouldn't even say SF-selects or SF-scolarship cadets are even comparable to NROTC-MO since they don't have a separate lab, PT, or unit. The only difference really shows at Field Training between the Sophomore and Junior year when SF-selects get separated from the other AF cadets and do their own training (much more focused on the missions of the Space Force (wargaming, academic briefs on electronic warfare, orbital dynamics, cyber) instead of going into the field and doing expeditionary airmen skills (medical, small unit tactics, airsoft simulations, etc). This also may change in future years as that change was new to last summer.
As I referenced earlier, there's a difference between SF-select and SF-scholarship. SF-scolarship cadets are just cadets that early on, USSF is interested in and have a much higher chance of becoming SF-select. This is awarded during the high school scholarship process and really doesn't mean anything different than being an AF-scholarship cadet until midway through your Sophomore year. During your Sophomore year, you compete for an Enrollment Allocation (EA) which is basically a golden ticket to go to field training and commission. Everyone has to compete for these, regardless of scholarship status or branch status. The cutoff has been pretty brutal over the past few years averaging around 70% of cadets getting an EA. During this process, all cadets that elect to compete for a Space Force commission will meet with a separate USSF-PSP board (PSP is POC Selection Process and is basically synonymous with EA). They will do the same interview process on HireVue. Within the next few weeks, this will happen, so I'm not sure if SF-scolarship cadets will be required to redo the HireVue or if their previous interview will go forward, or even if they have to recompete for a SF EA since this is the first cycle since SF scholarships recipients have met the PSP board. We'll know more by the end of the semester.
Hope this cleared up a few things since I know the whole process is super confusing and not much has ever been publicized. I only know this because I've been through the whole process now and talked to others who have done the same. The system definitely is new and has its quirks, but overall it seems to be working. Happy to answer any follow-on questions as well since I know I used a lot of acronyms and jargon.
