New March 31st deadline?

so now everyone has Feb 15? Or USNA filtering candidates on different board dates?

Wow. I wonder if it has to do with some MOC's being unable to submit nominations before the Jan 31 deadline, so they just bumped it back a couple weeks?
They might have extended it for the MOCs, but I can't imagine them needing an extension, would make them give candidates a 2 week extension. Candidates already can't control NOMS and the Jan 31 deadlines are for the things the Candidates can control. But ig we'll never really know 😂

  • After December 31, new applications to the Class of 2028 will not be accepted.
  • Applications must be completed by January 31, 2024 or will not be considered for admittance.
Not sure what you are seeing on the CGIS system, but the deadline is January 31.....saw a confirming email that on the BGIS system. I have no idea why CGIS may show changing deadlines, but don't you think USNA Admissions would have sent a notice if they were extending for some reason ? Here as pro tip -- just submit the Application, there is far to much worry about the meaning of changes in the CGIS portal.

There is no sense stressing over the wait .... USNA is pretty clear, most will hear by April 15--that's two and half months. The truth is, most of the process is just starting ..many threads on this point already so I won't repeat.

I just did copy and paste from USNA that should be official source of deadline -- should it ?

The USNA website is your primary source for Admissions information...
English is my 3rd language, based on what I read from USNA website (copy and paste)
My understanding is Jan 31 is deadline to complete application (except DoDMERB) December 31 is their deadline for new applicants to start the application.

Hey guys, I just checked my portal today and it says “pending” even though I have everything submitted (my transcript isn’t checked off yet, but I called and they said it had been uploaded to the sight). I saw that new deadline that is March 31st and was wondering if that means some of my stuff isn’t done. If any of you guys could clarify on that new date I would really appreciate it!!
Just called admissions to clear it all up! Deadline was the 31, IT department is working on some new things so they’ve been messing with it!

Not gonna lie, i would be so mad if they extended it without telling us before hand. I wanted to take the Feb 10 SAT but didnt see a point because its after the date.

And it would give the "less motivated" candidates more of an opportunity. Which i know sounds bad for me to say but the people who ACTUALLY
want to be at the SA will make the effort to get everything in as early as possible and extending it would allow someone who may be more qualified but less motivated to take the appointment over someone who is motivated and, In my JROTC experience, those who are more motivated end up doing way better than those who aren't.

Just my take.

Even though I have already been offered an appointment, the new deadline "Feb 5" has just shown up for me as well. My college transcript has still not been checked off even though I have an appointment, so I am also not sure if this is a glitch. Also, does anyone know if we are meant to receive an email if we are appointed, or if we just get a change in status in our portal? I haven't received any emails or details other than a call from my congresswoman and that change in status. Also, does anyone know if candidates are receiving those blue folders this year, and what time they are normally sent out around?
