I'd like to start a thread for those on here of either Sponsored AOG Civil Prep Scholars or parents of. If you are inclined, please post if you or your AOG scholar has been offered admission to the Class of 2028, when they were offered appointment and how, what JMC they attend, and how many from their school have so far been offered an appointment.

I'll start - my DS is an AOG Sponsored Civil Prep Scholar at GMC. We are from NY. 7 out of 20 have received their appointments to USMA. He is currently waiting, along with the other 13 GMC preppers.

I'm hoping this will provide a little comfort and maybe assurance to those of us who have gone through this process at least twice!

Hi 👋 … same boat here except we’re in California. Our DS is one of the 13 waiting at GMC.

I don't know if this will give you any reassurance, but the Falcon Foundation, which is the AFA version of WP AOG scholars, keeps their data online. And for the last four entry years, 96% of entering Falcon Foundation scholars have entered the AFA the following year. That's 268 out of 280. While I don't know for a fact, I would assume the AOG's numbers are similar. It's against their interest to have people successfully complete the program and not receive an appointment. Too much of that, and the program would quickly lose popularity.

Thank you! We are confident he will receive his appointment, it’s just a matter of when. We were anxiously waiting when I saw this post.

We did our research before accepting the AOG scholar prep vs. plan B and C last year. To be honest, we didn’t know what AOG was until DS was offered it. It wound up being a great experience for our DS.

Both the AOG recipients at my JMC received their appointments last week and were notified by their congressman. One from upstate NY near buffalo and the other from Orange County California.

7 more of the AOG sponsored prep scholars at GMC received their appointments this week (to include my DS). Good luck to those that are waiting!

There is an entire section of the SAF for exactly this issue.
Moving this thread to that section--so you all can connect and learn.
