Your BGO really would like to be invited to participate in your school's awards or scholarship event - the one where scholarships and other recognitions are announced to the students and their families. Typically BGOs make a formal presentation of your appointment to USNA or NAPS. It is our reward for working with candidates and a chance to make underclass students and their parents aware of the Naval Academy and perhaps inspire some of them to apply in the future.
