  • I am a military Dad (one son, a graduate from USAFA and another son, currently Army ROTC at U of NE, Lincoln). Son AROTC is a Sophomore and earned a spot at Air Assult at West Point. My wife and I did not understand parents can attend graduation. Can anyone please lead us in the correct direction of what we need to do in order to attend Air Assult graduation at West Point Accademy? It will be held July 15.

Sorry for the delay but I haven’t been to this site in a while. I see it’s today. You need a visitors pass to get on post. You can get them at the visitors center.
(1/5) Hello, I happened to come across your posts about the "Split Option Training" program and I would love some guidance. I am 17, a junior in High School and was just introduced to the split option program with the Army National Guard. I am stuck between the decisions of:
1.) Enlisting and going to basic this summer with the split option program
    &
2.) Staying home and improving SAT/ACT scores

(5/5) Attending West Point has been my dream since 4th grade and I will do whatever it takes to achieve that. Thank you for your time.

    Tough one.
You MUST improve your SAT score or you won’t get into a SA. Hopefully you are working on it right now. The best way to improve is to do questions. Lots of questions. Every day. Also, enlisting for split option takes time. I don’t know if you can do so now for this summer as basic training classes my be full.

Thank you, I greatly appreciate your insight.
I just got a call from my daughter who is a yearling at USMA. She has decided she wants to be a doctor & is going to leave West Point. I really don’t know what advice to give her?
