Just a heads up, the food allergy is probably going to be the biggest point of issue for you. I'm currently pending DQ at DODMERB myself for a peanut allergy that, like you, I discovered I had around age 7. You may want to consider doing OIT for whatever allergen it is and be prepared for it to be a long process.
