Thanks for the message. I'm up for the challenge! When he was looking at schools, did he consider VTCC, Norwich, Texas A&M, the Citadel? We have yet to visit any of them yet, but I am registered for an overnight at VMI on March 4th and 5th. Hopefully, I will meet him there.

He did consider VT and the Citadel. VMI was a better fit. He had a 4 year scholarship so cost wasn't too important. PT in the mountains rather than the beach.

I am working on the Army ROTC and Navy (Marines Option) ROTC applications now. My SAT scores are not great (1100) and taking the test again in a few weeks but my GPA is 3.6. The applications are not easy to say the least. I could use all the advice I can get. We are headed to VMI on Thursday for the Friday/Saturday overnight visit.

BTW...just one more question, did your son already have his ROTC scholarship locked up before he started at VMI?
