Wordle 370 4/6 🟩⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟨🟩⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I like starting a new word everyday, it keeps it a little more interesting. I also think I like the quordle game better because it has a little more strategy.

Wordle 368 3/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I've typically stayed with the same first 2 words and decided to try something different today. I've been getting a lot of 4s lately, so I guess it paid off to try something new.

    Transcript trouble

I'm sure admissions will give you the official response, but to help ease your nerves...If I recall correctly, last year DD had a similar issue because her school had just graduated and finalized transcripts took a little longer. They received the transcripts sometime early during BCT and don't...

    Presidential Nomination Question

Yes, in agreement. I was trying to highlight the fact that it is also available for West Point, USAFA as well as USNA and to check each admission website. Coast Guard doesn't require nominations and correct Merchant Marine doesn't utilize.

    Siblings at I-day activities?

I can't recall exactly what parent activities there were on I-day, was there a specific activity you were wondering about? We took DD's younger brothers (8 & 11) with us everywhere last year since we were in the middle of a move. They were very welcoming and recall them doing pictures...

    Dad Joke thread (everybody welcome)

In honor of Father's Day, we took a sailboat out for the afternoon when my 9 year old told this joke... What kind of witch lives in a desert? A sandwich. We thought it was pretty funny as we were eating our PB&J and thought of adding it to this thread.

Does naval academy care about regents exams/scores on regents exams

So for clarification, not many states have regents exams. I believe regents exams are only a NY test. For those not familiar, it is a state wide test taken at the end of the course. One way it could potentially be an area of concern is that I recall there are different diplomas to graduate...

    Some Random Last-Minute Questions

We brought DD's instrument during parent's weekend, although it is a smaller instrument and easy to take on a plane. She participates for the worship service, so that is another area of opportunity to play.

    Presidential Nomination Question

It's worth noting that while there are unlimited presidential nominations, only 100 are charged each year to that category. Also, it's available for West Point and USAFA, not just USNA.

    Web guy

Here's the info for membership: Now it seems all graduates are automatically members once they graduate and there is a family plan for current families.

    Squadron Assignments?

If I recall correctly, it was because they needed to do some extra medical screening for NCAA or something like that.

    Squadron Assignments?

Yes, last year we were told all IC had the early reporting time, regardless if there was a waiver or not. Also, just a heads up there was an IC breakfast, on the "patio" right above where they checked in. We were unaware of the breakfast until that morning or the night before, but it was a...

Roller coaster I: Get Us (The Parents) Through Plebe Year - Class of ‘26 🎢

Our DD just finished her doolie year at USAFA and we do not live close. She has 2 younger brothers, that miss her, but we have found ways to keep that connection. We have fallen into a fairly regular schedule of FaceTiming each weekend, usually whenever she is available. It's not a set time...

    USAFA Majors

I will add DD last year went in intending to declare a certain major. After major night and speaking with a few different departments, one particular department impressed her and caught her attention more than another and decided to declare that major after speaking with the department head...

Insurance during the cross country self move question

When we first started moving, the boxes and paper were paid by the military by the number used. Now the way it works, moving company bids on a move and the number of boxes and paper is paid by the moving company. There is definitely a difference these days and I need to tell movers, that...

Insurance during the cross country self move question

So just for clarification, he asked if his stuff was covered if it was stolen during a PCS move in a vehicle he is driving and he has a current renter's policy? He is not looking to have coverage for damage during the move (ie scratches/dents, etc...) just if things got stolen, correct? If the...

Insurance during the cross country self move question

Not necessarily to the OP original question, but will add the professional movers the last few years with COVID have been horrendous. As CAPT MJ mentioned above, we have this down to a science, after 9 moves. Unfortunately in recent years the "professional" movers have been more like...

Insurance during the cross country self move question

Have moved multiple times cross country, according to my discussions with insurance, information above is correct with both USAA and have also used ALLSTATE and it was the same as USAA. As long as you have active coverage. Sometimes people cancel a renter's insurance before starting a...

    New USAFA "Falcon" Logo

I was curious about the old Logos and when I was googling it, it is similar to an older logo, with an updated falcon. What is the significance of the bolt? On instagram I see cadets getting the bolt awards, but don't know what they are, do you know?
