Your unit will give you all those specifics - you need to pass the PFT and clear DoDMERB prior to contracting.

Don't lose faith. You are going to Virginia Tech, one of the premiere avenues for Commissioning. There are MANY other ways to commission. Based on my experience, cadet command will send letters to the non-selects. The portal may take a while to update.

My suggestion is call your coordinator for final word. The USMC portal is notorious for being messed up.

No re-issue. By declining a scholarship offer it does not open up a slot for another applicant.

That is a huge deal. I know Texas A&M and a few others offer that. Bottom line is there is a lot of money out there to help educational costs for those that want to commission. Good luck

Correct - joining a unit is not very difficult. Once you get there, bust your ass in the classroom, be a stud at PT and be a leader...That will set you up for a side load. There are also campus based scholarships as well as the PLC route for those wanting to commission.

As has been stated every year. Be careful in comparing stats. The AROTC selection process has many factors that don't fit into the SAT/ACT, grades.... categories. The CBEF and interview are extremely important and often overlooked. The essays are also important. It happens every year, but...
