Yes, you can validate swim. You just get a free period, so really you can sleep, study, workout, etc.

Capt MJ is always on point! I recommend validating as much as you can because that just opens up opportunities for higher level classes or for you to start your major early. Also, you don't have to accept a validation if you don't want to.

I will say that when PPW rolls around and you hear your first name for the first time in weeks, it is definitely weird. I had to get used to introducing myself by my first and last name, not just Midn 4/C X

I highly recommend seeing if a sponsor or local family will take you in! It doesn't hurt to ask and it may help ease the nerves. The "your mid is my mid" is accurate! There's a great community here, please use it when ya can.

PT a lot more. I was fine, but I would've much rather been over prepared. Spent more time with family and friends for the days leading up to I-day. I let my emotions consume me and I would've rather hung out with friends than worry about something happening in a few days.

Side note, if you are getting ready for PS please get GOOD running shoes. Take the time to do research and invest in a good pair. Personally, I love Hoka, but New Balance is good too. It's nice to have a pair that you've already broken in and are comfortable with.
