I am glad you posted! My daughter's unit's webpage said CPs do not attend NSI. However, she emailed them regarding housing in an ROTC living community and about applying to be a CP, and in the response was told that she may be able to attend NSI. So glad I check the forum! Also, still hoping...

I didn’t know CPS could go to NSI? I thought it was only for kids who have scholarships.

Right! My DD said someone in her Summer Seminar squad shared in a group text that their TWE came today around noon Eastern time. Every time I get a text alert I think it is from my DD with news😂 The stress involved in waiting increases daily and I have a kid who does NOT like to discuss...

My daughter is also still CPR at USNA (as far as I know-I do not have access to her portal and she has not notified me of any updates) and she is also still an alternate. Best of luck to your son! I hope he gets the news he wants:)

I never knew any of her older sibling’s passwords but was really curious about that darn portal! She definitely regretted sharing the PW😜

I had my daughter’s password until the last required reset. When I asked her to share her newest one she sent me a text and said she didn’t want to hurt my feelings but the Navy is her passion/dream, not mine, and she would let the family know when her portal changes to yes, no or wait some...

So just a little added stress for you! As if there isn’t enough already🤣

Just remember it isn’t all about scores on tests! You can definitely shine in other areas! My daughter’s ACT is 33 and she is a 4.0 with a lot of AP science and math classes and she hasn’t received a scholarship yet. It’s about way more than just grades/test scores.

So far, DD’s portal still says no decision and she has not received a letter, although I realize one could still be delivered next week. Hope is an amazing thing! Still watching for good news from either NROTC or USNA😁 But, at the end of the day, if both turn out to be a no, things will work...

The battalion at my DD's first choice school told her to wait until she finds out one way or the other about the scholarship because he said it was a fairly simple process to apply to be a college programmer.

Not yet:) Fingers crossed it stays that way:p DD's NROTC status portal also still says "no decision."

He isn’t alone:) My DD was very nervous and thinks at one point she started speaking with a slight southern twang😂 (we are from the Midwest, so that wasn’t great!) I think all these kids are amazing and have great futures ahead regardless of how their future Naval career starts…college...
