I don't think the extension was due to lack of applicants. There were some IT issues early when the portal opened; perhaps the extension is to make up for that. The individual qualification is definitely a factor (gpa, sat/act, ec), but not the only factor. I don't think anyone knows for sure...

You sure have the NASS dates correct? S1 is 6/3-8.

I am reading that USMA applicants can apply for a nomination from the secretary of the army if he/she is in Army JROTC (among other qualification criteria). I don’t see similar nomination source for USNA or USAFA. Is this unique to USMA?

There are only two vaccination-related questions - polio and tetanus. Both of these are required by the school system (at least in my state).

Actually, I think WP may provide ride from and to EWR airport for SLE. If that’s the case, traveling from BWI to EWR should be straight forward.

We live in northern CA. He would be traveling to USNA by plane and home from USMA by plane as well.

What is the best way to travel from USNA to USMA? My DS will have to travel alone for back-to-back NASS and SLE sessions.

Odd… status for my DS just went from “Pending” to “Accepted/In Progress”

Once you submit NASS application, you can’t login again. That’s normal, I learned. My DS was recently accepted to NASS.

The checklist shows workshop preference, application status (pending), preferred session (session 2), and link to parents tour.

How long did it take for your DS to be confirmed for SLE session 2 after receiving the initial acceptance email?

Have you actually been confirmed for SLE Session 2? My DS application is still in Pending status with the preference set to Session 2. DS got accepted to NASS Session 1.

Strange... No email with SLE portal login information in either Inbox and Spam folders...

My DS just received email today with an offer for a spot in SLE. In the email, it says "You should be receiving an email with login instructions to the West Point SLE Portal." He checked the inbox and spam folders, but there is no such e-mail. Does this normally come on the same day?
