Being new at this, I presume it will be nearly impossible to scout/find a location where you can spot your DD or DS when the Oath ceremony is underway on I-day. I feel adventurous so I’ll ask anyway: is there anything one can do to improve the chances of finding THE “best spot?”

How useful is a separate police check if the SF-86 also triggers such type of background checks? Isn’t it redundant?

Not sure but the website states “Complete the form provided in the mailed Permit to Report package and bring it with you when you report to the Academy on Induction Day. ”

Unfortunately not everything is available online, specially the appointee’s PTR letter that needs to be filled out and brought in on I-Day.

For those who already received both the BFE and PTR packages, how many days passed after receiving the BFE? (Assuming that order)
