Dumb question.... can our plebes bring a watch to plebe summer? For some reason, I have been led to believe that that cannot have one.

We heard from some Mids that signing up for and not passing validation exams doesn't hurt you-- so taking the test could get you some precious downtime (or nap time) during plebe summer....and no harm no foul if you don't do well on the exam. Not sure if really true but It was a clever idea.

The wise suggest that signing up for validations exams, especially those you don't feel confident on, will give you some nice nap time during plebe summer.

From my understanding, No PTR for USNA have been sent yet. We are waiting on that before booking plebe travel to I-Day.

Did you buy your Plebe's ticket already? We have been waiting until we get the Permission To Report packet. My wife and I bought our flight tickets to I-Day, but we wanted to wait until we saw what was official instruction from USNA for buying our DS Plebe2B ticket. CA-48

DS is appointed USNA and accepted. Backups are UCLA (offered admission), Berkeley, Harvard, and Duke-- still waiting. All of this in case of injury or other thing preventing I-day.

Congrats seaninsc. What school? My son is Dana Hills but we live in CA-48. Appointment accepted on 12/23. It's a three congressional district school.

For what it's worth, My DS was nominated from CA-48 in late Nov and was appointed USNA on 12/22.

Congrats on nominations. Have DD call the MOC offices and ask if it was principal, ranked slate, or unranked slate. They may also tell you how she ranked within their pool. CA- 48 did not do principal and DS was told he was top ranked within their pool of kids who wanted USNA first. We still...
