As May 1 approaches I can't help but wonder not only about the percentage of people who will accept their appointments, but what percentage of kids stayed on the waitlist. I would guess that not very many said "no thanks". My DD asked to stay on it. Others?

From what I can gather, they really place an emphasis on tenacity. I don't thinking a 3 time applicant will hurt at all. I would guess it would actually help.

Nobody that my daughter knows from SS got in (only she and 1 other got waitlisted). Heck, maybe it hurts more than it helps.

On the computer that I have never used to log in I got the boxes that required a username and PW and they didn't work. On the computer that I normally use it bypassed that page and went straight to the one where you enter your name, ss #, and candidate #. That did not work, either :(

I wonder how the process normally works in terms of the timing of waitlist etc. I can't imagine that they send those waitlist letters out before all the appointment letters are sent. Since you asked me for sources I assume you are referring to me. I never made the claim that they lowered standards for women. I made the claim that they were accepting more women. Big difference :)
