NovaDriver is correct . The Corps size at VT is approx 1200. and only about 20% is on the citizen leader track. Only base it on the Corps size not the student body DS commissions in May Field Artillery

DS got himself measured and has started shopping around and seeing shortages in things like the shoes, Was told there are leather shortages. I am curious in peoples opinions on the various companies that all claim they are better than the next.

Like they say the armed services is NOT a democracy. if you You want the career we are paying for do what is required unless you are medically at risk of taking the shot and then I would have assumed DODMERB would have found something to disqualify you.

You do not have to be in ROTC to be in the Corps at VTech. You would be in the VPI program. This program is for students that want the real structure of what the Corps provides and all the leadership that comes with it. But if you are in ROTC you MUST be in the CORPS if you are at VTech.

Yeah. The opt out is to the cadet if they wish to participate in the initiation process of their company. And yes. Opting out also comes with a negative stigma. Hence why even the hint of hazing or the pressure if not permitted
