I was in the same situation, WP does take your scores, HOWEVER, they do not combine your new english score w/ your best writing for your eng/writing score. I found that one out too late.

My junior year I took the ACT, and got a 21 English, with an 8 in writing (I know, not up to USMA standards). however, I practiced my English and pulled it up to a 26 (miracle). But, when I got the 26, I didn't take the writing, as I thought an 8 should suffice. Now I'm stuck in a bad situation...

I took the ACT in September, and drastically jumped up, however I didn't include writing in the new score and my writing is still sub-par.... My question is: will West Point take my Feb 18 (next ACT date) score, or will it be too late? thanks

kinnem, will we be notified if we don't get selected or do they just recycle us to the next board? Or will the send us an email or letter saying something along the lines of "You did not receive a scholarship on this board, you'll be put on the next one?"
