Important matters concerning the existence of Humanity - BACON

I had to attach mine with magnets, because the darned handles fit flush at the top. Toque on the freezer drawer. Middle drawer is beer set at 35° F., because it's America.

Important matters concerning the existence of Humanity - BACON

I am smoking ribs with about 4 pounds of crumbled bacon to go with the smoked baked potatoes. There will be asparagus and brussels sprouts cooked on the salt block with a little sesame oil, lemon and chipotle pepper. I made 5 authentic French baguettes (my grandmother's recipe) this morning. I...

Humor for my Navy and Marine friends

No sailor worth their salt would let that line drag in the water, to say nothing of securing that drag anchor. Come on!

    Care Packages to USNA

We sent 2. It's only 6 weeks, after all. You can pack a lot of stuff in a Priority Mail box. We used the ones that are the size of a shoe box. They were usually in the mail room in 2 or 3 days. If you live on the left coast, maybe figure another day.

    Care Packages to USNA

I sent my DS a tube of this over Plebe Summer, knowing full well that he had a female Detailer who watched him unpack his care package. He said she turned beet red. He told me not to do that again. Mission accomplished. Semper Fi.

Class of 2024: The Journey Begins

There's no better cork for your 4th point of contact than a Meal-Ready-To-Eat. I think the MRE was a single meal event (since that Plebe-to-be arrived in the evening), as my DS tells me that they are getting real food out to everyone and some meals are hot.

The Case for Renaming the USS John C. Stennis

Rock (SS 274) was a Gato-class submarine, built in Wisconsin. Here she is doing her sea trials in Lake Michigan: I always liked the Gato boats, and I think that she was a fine example. The "Final Dispositions" after being stricken from the registry is always so sad: Final Disposition...

Freshman Resume HS- '23 - Help me find the weak spots in my resume

Okay. Just having a little fun with the post from @wjfpc1. Possibly my comic timing was a bit off. The misspelled words in question were alumnus (in lieu of "aluminums") and their (in lieu of "there") in your original post.
