Situation: Unattached DD - first assignment RC-135 Offutt. Sounds like she'll be there for the better part of 10 years, with somewhat frequent deployments. Question: Rent off base or buy a home? She seems pretty adamant about not living on base. Advice? Thanks!:wave:

Does anyone know where I can purchase a poster (or 2) which pictures and identifies all current U.S. Air Force aircraft? There are a lot of posters available of each individual aircraft, or of military aircraft of the world, but I haven't been able to find one that might show all USAF...

I know the date is all that really matters, but being the first graduation on a Thursday, it'd be nice to know how all the activities the week before will shake out date, time, location-wise. USAFA Graduation Homepage still says information on 2015 graduation will be published by November...

Just noticed the 2015 USAFA graduation is tentatively scheduled for 28 May - a Thursday (http://www.usafa.edu/superintendent/graduation/?catname=graduation). I know graduations were always on a Wednesday and was curious as to why the change.

DD, class of 2015 has been given the option of having PRK or Lasik vision correction procedure. She has heard that the AF leans towards having PRK done as it has a longer track record of lasting results, but on the other hand, the recovery from PRK is supposed to be a lot worse than with Lasik...

It has been recommended by the orthodontists at the academy that my DD not only get braces, but upper and lower jaw surgery. Any parents/cadets out there have any experience with the orthodontic department? Advice/recommendations?? Current misalignment/jaw situation is not major, but was told...

C3Cs normally get their assignments by this time. Is this too going to be eliminated due to sequestration? That would be sad - AF Ops is an invaluable tool for a cadet to shadow and get better insight into the real Air Force and its people and their jobs.
