    Volunteering

A couple of ideas to get your creative juices flowing. The main thing is that you pick something that you are passionate about so you stick with it: - Personal interest-- my DS (who received an appointment in Feb.) was always interested in military history and so when he noticed that people...

Need some urgent advice about Naval Academy CVW

Agree with all of the above re not wanting to expose anyone, not to mention your DS would probably find it very difficult to participate as fully as he would want, even if he wasn't deemed contagious. However, I believe there is another CVW that starts April 26? After consulting with your doctor...

    NASS Acceptance

Sound advice. Experience the SA that accepts you. Then try to ask for a Candidate Visit Weekend (or equivalent) to the SA you didn't go to in the summer or as kinnem said, do an alternate visit. And brace yourself for the rollercoaster ride ahead!

    AFROTC 2nd Board follow up?

how much time do you have to accept/decline scholarship? Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere on this site (I looked but couldn't find!) -- with AFROTC scholarships, what is the timeframe given (i.e. 10 days, two weeks from the date of the award letter) to accept/decline?

    Class 2017 Application Opening

Full agree with above re teacher recommendations. Also note that two of the documents required (Candidate Activities Record and Candidate Academic Information) need to be filled out by your high school guidance counselor, who will receive a link to the docs like the teachers. DS's counselor was...
