    Double major and minor?

I'm a double major with a double minor; however, my majors are closely related. Comp Sci, Econ, and a language minor would be extremely difficult if not impossible.

    Double major

I am a double major with a double minor. It is certainly doable. It is truly all about time management. If you can handle the course load and airmanship stuff in that respect then you can certainly do it all.

    Speed Reading

Speed Reading Class I took it freshman year and it was probably the biggest waste of my time. You read faster, but the retention goes with it.

    Final packing for BCT Question

Eating and other things I hope the eating thing was a joke. Basics will not be starved and it's probably best to leave the boots behind at home. Every squad is a little different, but most will make you wear issued boots anyway through BCT and some will carry that through until recognition.

    Cadre Taking Questions

Compression Shorts So long as the shorts are conservative it shouldn't matter (Close to black or white, just not something like red or green). Just make sure they don't extend beyond your shorts. Some cadre have been know to yell about this. Even that for the most part won't be a problem though.

    2014 BCT Packing List

stuff to bring BRING COMPRESSION SHORTS!!! As has been said. Color doesn't matter so long as you use common sense. Also, bring smaller containers of toiletries. You will go to the C-Store, but not for at least a few days. Don't be the kid who gets yelled at for not having enough stuff to last...

    ACT or ACT plus writing?

ACT + Writing USAFA prefers the ACT + Writing. There will be a separate score for it so there it will not affect the actual English score.

    Wings and Props

gold prop and wings Class of 2016 was told differently. We were told for Gold: You will be awarded the gold prop and wing if any member of you direct ancestry has served in the USAF or the Army Air Corps.

    Intramural/club sports

Intramurals 1. Club sports usually have LOS status which is limited on season. 2.Depends on the intramural. As a freshman you probably won't get one of the more popular intramurals. 3. Depends on the sport, but as a general rule they are pretty competitive. 4. It is hard to do because of LOS...

USAFA Class of 2017 Facebook Page Meet & Greet

Facebook Page Do what you will with the page, but the cadre will have a field day with it no matter what. That's a promise. At the very least make the page private.

    USAFA Drill Team?

Sabre Vs Honor Guard Not to be biased or whatnot, but I am currently a sabre drill team candidate which means that I am a freshman and sabre drill is way better than honor guard in a lot of ways. We are an extremely close knit group and the comradery is incredible. If you have any questions...

    USAFA Drill Team?

Teams There are basically two teams. The sabre drill team and honor guard. Honor guard does some sabre stuff when the sabre drill team is unavailable but not very much. There is a rifle team, but it is not drill.

    Prior Enlisted.

Priors The MOH thing is bogus. There is a direct prior in my squad and he is not an MOH winner.

    monthly stipend questions

Good Question Smokers comes from the older days. On Fridays freshman used to bring their upperclassmen cigars at lunch. Hence the name smokers. Now instead of cigars it's just snacks.

    monthly stipend questions

Smokers, Dining Outs, Sanitary Items There are a number of things you can use the leftover money for. If you buy your own plane tickets, you will need to get smokers, if you go on a dining out and shampoo, etc. Also it is always nice to have food stashed away in your room in case you don't want...

    monthly stipend questions

Depends Pay fluctuates greatly. It can range anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars up to just shy of 900$ which is what I received last month.

    Languages

Depends The amount of a language you HAVE to take depends on your major. If your a techy major then you HAVE to take two semesters and if you are a fuzzy major you HAVE to take 4 semesters unless you receive a waiver saying otherwise.
