Well today I got into serious trouble and I'm not going to explain it in detail but the person told me I would most likely get a felony. I still haven't heard from the USAFA but will this affect my acceptance in anyway?

I wanted to know if a person went to the summer seminar how would that help that person's chances for the AFA. I saw somewhere there was like a 30% return rate or something like that.

I never wanted to at first and I am still a bit hesitant on going if accepted. I only applied because I heard that a person could get some really nice skills from the academy that no ROTC can offer; leadership, character, friendships.

I wanted to know if there was a "secret" to doing sit-ups for the CFA. I am a guy and I have a hard time knocking out about 50-60 sit-ups for the test. On a good day I can average around 60 situps and on a bad day I knock out about 55-60. I see people getting around 70+ situps and even maxing...

Same situation for me; SAT is online. ACT, not so much.

On the academy webpage it says the last day they will take scores in on February the 15th. Does that mean the scores need to be postmarked by February 15th or the test needs to be taken before February 15th, and can be sent later than that?

I think your resume is very outstanding and you should have no problem getting in. When I attended summer seminar all JROTC kids that went were either the deputy core commander or the core commander of the unit. :shake: I think its funny because I was a regular Cadet Tech sgt. :thumb:

What i heard is that if you go to the Summer Seminar theres like 33% or 66% (One of those or something around there) of coming back. If you get accepted and re-apply the next year it shows you really want to attend and you get the perspective of cadet life in the academy.

If your son is a junior, he is the class of 2017. The application for the goarmy thing should be open after the summer I think. Right now they are still open only to 2016.

From what I know JROTC counts as any other organization you are a part of equally. Its good to be in JROTC since there IS more opportunity to attain a leadership position in JROTC rather than NHS or student council.

Some people lie and some don't. The majority don't as far as I know and most people DO have GPA's like that. Its NOT uncommon to get 4.0 unweighted or weighted. Oh yeah I forgot to say that you will probably be attending.

I have the same problem, my ALO asked me about the honor code and cheating on tests. I said "yes" and said that I cheated on tests in middle school (Like maybe once) but I stopped in high school after I joined my local JROTC program. :thumbdown::thumbdown:
