I have searched this forum and I have not found an answer. Do individual ROTC battalions have control over what boots a cadet can wear? Or are any 670-1 Army authorized boots acceptable?

If a student is enrolled in AROTC with a cross town arrangement (like B.C. or Marist for example), are the classes and PT held on their campus or does the student have to travel to the host school?

My wife and I plan on taking our DS to visit a couple of colleges this week. He is interested in ROTC. Should we visit with the on campus ROTC units? More importantly, what should we be looking for? What questions might we ask? We are new to this. Thanks for any help.
