There has to be some way where the different branches evaluate potential cadets. What are they? Also, how are cadets evaluated for job selection in the other branches? It's LDAC in the army. But how about Navy/Air Force?

Wow, thanks for the help. So I guess the consensus is find the school that works for you rather than the battalion that works for you. Then make sure that school has a good ROTC program. :redface:

In ROTC do you have any input into your duty station? Do you have a top choices list? How does it work? Or does it work the other way around? You have unit top choices and you get stationed based on that? Do they even consider your top choices or just completely ignore them? Sorry...

If you are not a scholarship cadet can you contract in as a freshman? Basically I want to be the same as all the other cadets but a scholarship is not necessary. If not can you contract in as a sophomore? What year(s) can you go to specialty schools (Airborne, Mountain Warfare, Etc.) can you do...
