Ah, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, kinnem!

    Rowing at USNA

That sounds encouraging. I didn`t realize that many on the team hadn`t done it beforehand. I also thought that most did participate in varsity sports. So you can try it out over the summer? How does that work? Also, I know there a lot of sports camps over the summer for high schoolers at...

    Rowing at USNA

This might be a bit of an odd question, but something I should probably ask now than wait until when I`m actually AT USNA (Assuming I actually get there!) I`ve been wanting to try crew, seems like a cool sport, something I definitely might be good at, but there`s no crew team at my high...

robinhood17, thank you for all of that! Great to have another POV on the subject.

    USNA vs. USMA

LITS, thanks for the input on that. Hurricane12, thanks for all the info on the Corps. kinnem, I think maybe Minsauce wrote that because any outsider could easily guess that because USNA is always considered the "technology" academy, since all at USNA take so many math and science classes...

    Ask a plebe.... I'm right here :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer our questions! And sorry to hear about your grandmother. It`s good to hear that it`s definitely something that isn`t unbearable, because I`ve heard of people before saying how it`s SO boring, and grinding, and etc. A couple more questions if you...

    Ask a plebe.... I'm right here :)

^Really, someone said not to validate???:confused::confused: I was always told to validate, if at all possible. I heard of one person validating almost a whole semester, and taking pretty much all upper-level classes.

    USNA vs. USMA

dunninla, thank you for all of that helpful information. So since they`re trying to fill slots, what would they want females to go in? And since not everyone is getting their first choice, would it be more beneficial to list my first choice as second? Or is it just the Navy making the Midshipmen...

    Ask a plebe.... I'm right here :)

I`m not a candidate, just an interested person, so excuse me for barging in on a candidate thread. Some pf the usual questions asked by everybody who has to chance to ask one of "you", but it`s always good to hear from everyone: 1) What do you wish you did differently in high school 2) What...

I`ve looked at The Citadel, but I don`t know...I just like VMI better. Don`t know why; can`t really explain it.

Hello all, I`ve been interested in the SA`s and am planning on applying to USMA and USNA, but I`ve also really started to consider the SMC`s too. They all seem like excellent schools, and I`ve narrowed it down to the 3 in the title--A&M, Tech, and VMI. I`ve been to the websites, read all the...
