When visiting the academy, will I be able to stay multiple days? I got a portal update today that said my package was coming. Will the info I receive say I can only stay one night? I want to stay multiple days to make sure I successfully make up my mind!

I don't know if I will be able to handle USAFA for 4 years. I visited USAFA last April, and am visiting once again in about two weeks. College life seems more suitable for me, and I have great schools for AFROTC.

Hey guys, I found out I received an appointment tonight, got the call from my senator. My portal is unchanged and nothing in the mail! So put your head up and realize that that call could come any time, before you know it, a restricted number might just notify you when you're having a bad day...

Texas is a BIG state. I don't think the board does it by area or region. I'm certain they do it congressionally in no specific order, perhaps by competitiveness.

For all those hopefuls and/or committed appointees back at home awaiting BCT and the unique life at the Academy-- what are some books to read including guidance and insight on cadet life at USAFA? I've been dying to find a book like that. Or perhaps a documentary or movie:rolleyes:

Doesn't matter! Just make sure when you do send your scores they are your best! I took mine 3 times, went from a 1610 (unqualified for usafa) to a 2030 (qualified). They first sent me a letter saying my scores were too low, then once I sent my best ones they sent me a letter telling me I'm ready...

I have searched for this sort of information all over the web, and find uncertain answers... Of those graduating from USAFA, do most want to fly? Of those, how many are able to become pilots? Is this a highly selective process?
