agp, I think the tuition payment situation varies by school. For my son, his school knew of his scholarship in May (I think) because he had passed DoDMERB at that point. Because they knew so early, his first bill showed a credit equal to what they anticipated receiving from the Army...

Good article. I just wish somebody would report how many total applications Cadet Command received last year. We know how many scholarships they gave out (2500). We know there was a 15% increase over prior year. We know there are 16,000 total cadets. But we still don't know how many...

My son did. He put Dickinson and Gettysburg on his list; they're in the same battalion. Both were approved in his final list of 5.

I know the Army is a 365/24/7 operation, but I'd be really surprised if it started a "paperwork" process affecting hundreds of civilians on a Federal holiday. (today, Columbus Day)
