    Another Waiver Granted!!!!

Thanks Popeyesmom, now we just have to get the remedials out of the way. Its unfortunate that they didn't post everything when they posted the colorblindness DQ, we could have had it all taken care of by now...but I suppose with colorblindness they probably figure with so few waivers they would...

    Quick question

Very impressive class standing, extra curriculars and leadership...You look good with everything but SAT's... I would buy an SAT study book or invest in a course (there are definately some skills and "tricks" that will help you improve your score) and take them again in May and then again in...

Some schools have small NROTC units and may combine units with other schools in the Area-called a consortium. If that is the case your letter may name several schools as my sons did.

    Notifying school of NROTC Scholarship?

Thanks, his scholarship offer is to his reach schools (two of them) so he is going to send an e-mail today. I will have him contact the recruiter as well. Good Advice. Quick question though how did he send the letter to a school that was not named on the scholarship offer?

    ROTC at VMI

What about if you were awarded scholarship to your first choice school but don't get in to your first choice school? Can you then ask to transfer the scholarship to 2 or 3rd choice school if it was on your original list?

    Notifying school of NROTC Scholarship?

Hi my son just received notice that he received an NROTC scholarship to a consortium of schools. (3 different ones/ he applied to two of them) I know that this does not guarantee admission to the schools but does NROTC notify the admissions departments of these schools of the names of students...

    I-Day Testing

Have you done the DODMERB Physical and if so did you pass the colorblind test? If you haven't taken it yet, then you would need to before you are accepted anyway. But I do know of two people (in the past 25 years) who somehow passed the colorblind portion on the physical but ended up failing on...

    Vision standards cga vs. usna

Maximus, Read through past posts and found you all are in the same boat with the color blindness DQ. Have you spoken to anyone at the academy regarding how long it takes,or how often they consider waivers? My husband and son are a lot more patient than I am but then I've never had any...
