    Advanced Camp/CLC, MS-3 year Preparations?

I honestly haven´t been on here in awhile. I have some updates, and some questions. I made it through Rookdom at Norwich University. I made it through first two years of AROTC, and have been rated proficient by MS-2 cadre. I have wrestled on the team, and done BJJ as extras. The only problem I...

    CIET-Daily Schedule

Interesting you say that, the same was said compared to Rookdom. I imagine for SMC's, it will be a piece of cake.

    CIET-Daily Schedule

Out of curiosity, what is CIET like on a daily basis? I have heard everything in-between, but no one has given me a straight, consistent answer. MS-3's at my school say it is mil-lab(gentle-man's course) for thirty days, while other cadets/commissioned officers say it is one of the hardest thing...

    AROTC Branching-Tips and Tales

Ohhhhh no, I definitely know that can happen. I had bad experiences with that going for other scholarships. I guess that unit won't do as well with out me lol. All I can do is get good grades, be in shape and be a good leader; if not well I got a free education out of it and opportunity to serve...

    AROTC Branching-Tips and Tales

I am a 1st year Cadet at Norwich University. I got a 3.8 GPA for my first semester in Criminal Justice and a minor in Spanish. I am contracted as a four-year Scholarship Recipient(I have a CIET slot for this summer). I have an average of around 280 for PT scores; I also wrestle for the team...

Brother wanting to become a nurse in the military

My brother decided to follow a path of becoming a Nurse, in the Army or Air Force. I want to help him with his goal. I know of the process concerning the qualifications needed, and how boards and these scholarships work; however, I don't know so much of how the nursing world works and he what...

    Marine NROTC

25 is the average if I am not mistaken, better be decent in your PFT,GPA and activities though.

    SLE or Boys' State

If you believe you need more to your WCS, go to Boy's State instead of SLE. Boy's State is a big-ticket item for appointees, not just for service academies but for ROTC Scholarships as well. As others have mentions it directly helps from candidate review as opposed to a good experience like SLE.

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

I would definetly have not did what I did w/o XC, granted wrestlers are pit-bulls and runners are greyhounds, when do people bring greyhounds to a fight?

Applying to USMA on a AROTC Scholarship?

Who would I get a nomination from going to a school such as FSU or Norwich?

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

It is, I found that XC is easier than wrestling though. XC was more business as wrestling was what I truly loved. Though, you don't wrestle for PT exams.

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

I got options though so it doesn't matter too much. Also interesting you do XC and wrestle too, I never met anyone else with that combination of sports. I wrestled Varsity for four years and was a Captain my Junior and Senior season and I also ran Varsity XC for three years and was Captain my...

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

Thanks, Idk why you couldn't have got it as the middle 50% is a 25-30 ACT Composite, I had a 26 ACT and I would bet would be the only weak part of my package. You have the same PFE score and a slightly higher GPA. I can only guess that New London is really pushing their 50% minorities, 50% women...

    Any details on this matter?

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

I will look into this option though, there may be things being left out that would help this decision. Not to mention the USCGA has a wait-list for enlisted folks because the jobs are so good. With a environment such as this, I should at least look into it. If not, I will go AROTC and maybe...

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

engineering, yuck! What about criminal justice? I want to raid drug vessels and stop illegal fishing not build boats. Just, FYI I do/ want combat-oriented things:wrestling, judo, BJJ (Your analogy was appealing). Some of those kids at USCGA at may have 5.0 GPA's and want to be engineer. I am not...

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

I am not sympathizing, I am a happy that I got a piece. I am glad, I didn't waste 4 years in high-school. If I didn't get anything that would have been the end of the world. But that's not the case, I have a plan.

USCGA Class of 2019 statistics and waitlist?

FSU you mean? Would I be allowed to take the scholarship(AROTC) or at least delay its benefits and reapply to the USCGA? It will be quite a decision to let a bird in the hand go, just to grab a more colorful one that weighs the same. If this a possible route though, I might just have to go...
