Does anyone know how USMA view candidate's districts? Do they use congressional districts, or do they have an internal district that they assign to admission counselors?

DS submitted both ACT and SAT scores. ACT scores were fine but his Reading was lower than he would have liked. He took the new SAT and scored really well. How does USMA look at both sets of scores? I think he submitted the ACT scores as part of his SLE application. Appreciate the insights...

DS began completing his application for the Class of 2021. It appears that there is a portion of the application doesn't open until July, including the request of his teachers. Is this correct that that portion of the application process isnt't available yet for completion?

Are candidates required to obtain letters of recommendation from their high school math and English teachers? DS is going to SLE and he understands that the candidate portal is not yet open. USNA requires those two teacher recommendations.

I understand the Admissions looks at a candidates English and Math scores on the ACT. Do they also look at, and/or evaluate the other scores such as reading and science? If so, are there certain minimum levels that a candidate needs on those sections?

Our DD will be a Plebe this summer and am curious when she will receive her packet to report (not sure the exact name). What is the timing for the information coming from the Academy for an incoming Plebe?

I've never seen this question asked but have to think other moms want to know....are the female mids allowed to be on hormone (b.c.) pills???? Obviously, if you have an irregular cycle, it would be way more convenient to have predictability. Appreciate legitimate answers only. Thanks!

Our DD has accepted her appointment to the USNA. She also received an NROTC scholarship. We have seen some comments that she should keep her NROTC scholarship active up until Induction Day. But we've heard other say to let the ROTC coordinator know she intends to attend USNA. We're confused...
