I know that a military ID is required when entering the South gate but is everyone in the vehicle required to have a military ID? Would we be allowed to enter at the south gate if our cadet was with us?
An Army Golden Knights jumper was critically injured and a Navy Leap Frog member had minor injuries after an incident at the Chicago Air and Water show. Thoughts and prayers to the jumpers and their families...
Very nice tribute to those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms. No truer words have been spoken. Thanks to all those who have served and sacrificed. Happy memorial day...

To the class of 2018: As recognition week arrives I wanted to wish the class of 2018 the best of luck. Stick together and work as a team and you will all come out the other side. You have been through much in the last 9 months and you will make it through this. Fight to Win!
To the class...
Having seen some demand lately for probabilities of being appointed, I have decided to take my vast knowledge of the Admissions process and provide some statistics I have calculated on my own. I am so confident in my statistics that I virtually guarantee they are 100 percent accurate.
Chances...
Just curious if the profile for the class of 2018 was ever released. I cannot seem to find that info anywhere. It looks like in the past they had released that info right after BCT.
Not sure if this was out there but just saw this article. Hate to see more bad press for the Service Academy athletics. Sure seems to be a lot of this type of stuff lately.

DS just received an email yesterday stating that he was sent an email with a link to Tricare and he must complete the registration before he arrives at USAFA. I assume everyone else has received this email? He said he has not received any emails (checked his spam folder) with any links.

My DS broke his leg wrestling last year and has a steel plate in his leg. He has passed DODMERB and is medically qualified. He has no issues with the plate but his Orthopedic mentioned that he could take it out and recovery would only be 2 weeks. He made it sound like it was a very simple...
My DS received an AFROTC Scholarship and had a question. I was under the impression that the scholarship was tied to a specific degree. The notice he received in the mail stated he had a scholarship to a technical field but was not specific. He put his choices as Civil Engineering, Electrical...
I thought I'd throw this out there for those who are not aware of this program. My DS attended the camp at USAFA last summer and loved it. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in engineering at an Academy or even ROTC. They have an Air Force, Marine and Army camp.

Letter came today from USAFA. DS opened it to find a letter from the Academy stating that they received information from someone that he may be interested in applying and may be a good candidate.... Thing is he ALREADY applied EA and is currently waiting on a decision.... Thank goodness it...
I recently found out that my DS would automatically receive free in-state tuition at one of his top schools (University of Illinois) if he joined ROTC. This in essence is pretty much equal to the National Scholarship.
He is pretty much undecided between UofI and Texas A&M. He has already...
My DS has applied for both USAFA and USMA. As backup plans he has applied for AFROTC and AROTC and has already been accepted into Texas A&M. He says his goal is the Academy and he was thinking if he didn't get in this year that he planned to go to College and go ROTC (hopefully on scholarship)...
